Six Pakistanis among 11 killed in US strike in Afghanistan

KABUL, Afghanistan: A US-led airstrike occurred in Afghanistan’s southern province of Ghazni on Friday, killing at least 11 persons including six Pakistanis and injuring several others.

The Afghan authorities said the airstrike targeted the Taliban militants. The NATO alliance is yet to confirm the aerial attack.

Separately, at least three policemen were killed when a roadside bomb struck a police van in Manogai district of Afghanistan’s Kunar province.

The Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid claimed responsibility for the incident.
