RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: In connection with the upcoming Pakistan Defence Day on September 6, the Inter Service Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of Pakistan Army, has released another patriotic song with the title “Vichora Taira Jaan Lay Gia”. Singer is legendary Rahat Fateh Ali Khan

The promo of this song has been released today. Its theme is feelings of those who are left behind by martyrs.

The song antara is “Vichora Taira Jaan Lay Gia”. This blend of Urdu and Punjabi can be translated into English as “your departure took my life”.

The desire of martyrdom lives with every soldier and officer of Pakistan Army. Thousands of soldiers and officers laid their lives in quest of protecting their mother land – Pakistan since this country of South Asia being into existence. The recent war against terrorism during the last 16 years cost thousands of Shahadats (martyrdom) in every force of Pakistan including Pakistan Air Force (PAF), Pakistan Navy and ground forces.

Five terrorists sent to hell in Balochistan Islamabad, Pakistan: On 18 October 24, security forces conducted a successful intelligence based operation in District Pishin on reported presence of Khwarij (TTP). During the operation, five khwarij were apprehended and a large quantity of weapons, ammunition and explosives including 3 x Suicide Vests were seized. Apprehended Khwarij were involved in multiple terrorist attacks and were planning to target security forces as well as innocent civilians. In an other operation in District Zhob on 17 October 2024, during a fire exchange with security forces, two khwarij were sent to hell. In ensuing sanitisation of the area, weapons and ammunition were also recovered in large quantity. Punjab Highway Patrol releases annual performance report for 2024 Lahore, Pakistan: Punjab Highway Patrol (PHP) has released annual performance report for 2024 that shows promising working under the leadership of Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr Usman Anwar. According to details, in the year 2024, PHP checked 31.4 million people on the highways across Punjab through e-Police Post App and arrested 6,537 proclaimed offenders/judicial fugitives. Punjab Highway Patrol checked 18.8 million vehicles with the help of modern technology and also recovered 3,350 stolen vehicles/motorcycles. Legal action was taken against 869,000 overloaded vehicles for axle load violation. Legal action was taken against more than 12,000 vehicles across Punjab for illegal use of gas cylinders. In view of the convenience of the citizens, last year, PHP issued 148,000 driving licenses - 678 missing children were reunited with their parents. 5,005 temporary and permanent encroachments were removed and traffic flow was improved. More than 112,000 passengers facing difficulties on the roads across Punjab were provided with various types of assistance and guidance. 119,000 citizens were provided with various types of assistance and guidance at Police Khidmat Markazes. 1,093 cases were registered for the use of illegal weapons. 20,925 liters of alcohol, 400 kilograms of hashish, 53 kilograms of opium and 5.5 kilograms of heroin were recovered from drug peddlers.
