DND Report
The rivalry between India and Pakistan remains one of the most enduring and volatile geopolitical confrontations in modern international relations, and both are nuclear-armed states.
While land and nuclear capabilities are central to deterrence, air power has emerged as a decisive domain in shaping tactical outcomes in an India–Pakistan war, signaling intent, and controlling escalation. Pakistan’s air supremacy delivered a crushing defeat to India when Pakistan downed eight Indian fighter jets, including Russian- and French-made aircrafts. US President Trump mentioned several times that he intervened to stop the war at India’s request, when India had lost eight fighter jets and was trembling with fear of further defeat at the hands of Pakistan. Pakistan Air Force’s capabilities, doctrinal developments, and technological balance outright defeated the Indian Air Force. On the night of 6-7 May 2025, Pakistan gave a dust licking defeat to India in conventional warfare and India would remember all times to come.
On the first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq, on the night of 6th/7th May, Pakistan Air Force proudly commemorate a defining chapter in the nation’s military history; one that strengthened national confidence, reaffirmed institutional resolve, and validated the PAF’s relentless pursuit of modernization and focused capability enhancement.
