ISPR Song on 71th Independence Day Kar Aghaaz Pakistan— Sar Sabz Rahay Shadaab Pakistan is altogether different than from previous songs released by ISPR as this song has npo tanks, guns, fighting jets or submarines rather this song is about tree plantation. Song emphases need of planting trees to make Pakistan a better place to live in.
It is pertinent to mention that Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa inaugurated the National Tree Plantation Campaign today. The Director General ISPR Major General Asif Ghafoor said that Pakistan Army would plant 10 million trees during this monsoon across the Country under the Campaign named “Sarsabz-O-Shadab Pakistan”. The ISPR said that the COAS will initiate simultaneous plantation of two million trees.
This song represents commitment of Pakistan Army to play its positive in all dimensions including environmental protection along with protecting the country from enemies. Deforestation has become one of the most grave problem of Pakistan because timber mafia had been cutting trees in fragile lands of north, resulting soil erosion which plays important role for flooding in plain areas.
