KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) Waqar Hussain Shah clinched victory in Karachi’s PS-128 constituency after re-polling was conducted at six polling stations, unofficial results say.

According to unofficial results, Waqar Hussain Shah secured 23, 828 votes, while his opponent Maulana Aurangzeb Farooqi from the Muttahida Deeni Mahaz (MDM) bagged 23,617 votes.

Two major parties Awami National Party (ANP) and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf (PTI) boycotted the re-polling, demanding that the election be held in the entire constituency and that is too under Army supervision.
