ISLAMABAD: The federal government has reportedly decided to change incumbent Sindh Governor Dr. Ishratul Ibad Khan while Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Mumtaz Bhutto is highly likely to get the slot in couple of months.

On the other hand, the government has also withdrawn its invitation extended to Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Farooq Sattar to attend the special meeting of the federal cabinet on Karachi situation.

The Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is scheduled to preside over a high-level meeting on Wednesday which will be attended by Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah, Governor Dr. Ishratul Ibad Khan and other concerned high officials of security agencies, police and Rangers to chalk out a strategy to curb targeted killings and other criminal activities in the city.
