ISLAMABAD: Balochistan Chief Minister Abdul Malik Baloch said on Friday that his government would take all stakeholders including the opposition into confidence to resolve the challenges being faced by Balochistan.

Talking to media persons in Quetta on Friday, Malik said other priorities of his government would include restoration of peace, putting Balochistan back on the track of progress, reviving the province’s economy, providing employment opportunities to the jobless youth and improving health and education sectors.

The CM Balochistan said resources of the province would be spent on developmental work, adding that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had assured him of extending full cooperation.

Malik said his cabinet would comprise ministers from National Party, Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party and Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N).

He said the challenges his government was facing included violation of human rights, including the ‘missing’ persons’ issue, surfacing of bullet-riddled bodies of political workers, sectarian violence and restoration of peace in the province.

The chief minister said his government would focus on education and considerable resources would be diverted to the education sector. Similarly, he said, his government would pay attention to Balochistan’s health sector.

“Our priority will be development for future generations and providing them with better educational institutions and health facilities. Our government will provide 21st century facilities to the people of Balochistan,” he added.

Regarding the projects of Reko Diq and Gwadar port, the chief minister said no project could work in Balochistan until the people of the province as well as its government were taken on board.
