ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has expressed reservations on the nomination of former federal interior secretary Qamar Zaman Chauhdry as new Chairman of National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

In a statement on Tuesday, the PTI spokesperson Dr. Shireen Mazari said that Chaudhry’s nomination as NAB chief is illegal, adding that PTI was not consulted on the key appointment.

Mazari also rejected claim by Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Khursheed Shah that PTI was contacted many a times on the subject. She said that PTI could challenge the nomination in the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
