ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari said on Thursday that Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) will fully support the democratically elected Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government for next five years.

Speaking at a farewell lunch hosted in his honour by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in Islamabad on Thursday‚ the president said that blaming each other is not good and we all must avoid such dirty politics.

The president said that his party would carry forward the politics of reconciliation during the next five years for this purpose and no politics will be made on the national issues.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister paid rich tributes to outgoing President Asif Ali Zardari for promoting politics of reconciliation which led smooth transition of power in democratic way.

The Prime Minister said that the President Zardari played a vital role in strengthening democratic system and surrendered his powers to the parliament.

The PM Nawaz said it is unique occasion in the history of Pakistan that a democratically elected President is leaving his office with dignity and honour after completing his tenure while the newly elected President is about to take charge of the office.
