ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Secretary General Syed Nayyar Hussain Bukhari on Tuesday held the federal government responsible for cancelling the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) registration of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University.

In response to the cancellation of the Shaheed Bhutto Medical University, Nayyar Bukhari warned the government against playing with students’ future.

The PPP secretary general said the federal government intentionally separated the Constitutional Medical College of the University. He said the federal government separated the Federal Medical and Dental College with an objective to remove the Bhutto University. He said the government had gone blind in enmity with Bhutto.

Nayyar Bukhari said Shaheed Bhutto Medical University was the only state-run University in Islamabad. He said the PMDC must not become the part of a game being played against students.

The former Chairman Senate said the PPP had provided the people of Islamabad a Medical University, adding the party would not allow anyone to play with students’ future.

Nayyar Bukhari demanded the reaffliation of the Constitutional College with the Federal Medical and Dental College to save the institution.
