Stealing public mandate a malicious plot to create political chaos, economic instability: PTI

PoliticsStealing public mandate a malicious plot to create political chaos, economic instability:...
  • Seeks SC’s intervention to foil intrigue of bulldozing majority to impose public-rejected minority group

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Spokesperson termed the ongoing heinous and reprehensible attempts during the past four days to fraudulently and unlawfully change the results aimed at converting PTI candidates’ landslide victory into defeat were a malicious plot to plunge Pakistan deep into quagmire of political chaos and economic instability.

In a statement, the PTI Spokesperson said that holding free, fair and transparent elections were the only inevitable democratic and constitutional way to steer the country out of the prevailing myriad crises; however, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) was wasting this opportunity with its criminal incompetence and nefarious agenda.

The PTI Spokesperson made it clear that the people of Pakistan gave a clear verdict and spoke loudly and clearly with their power of votes but unfortunately, malicious attempts were afoot to forcibly convert the majority into a minority through the compromised returning officers by murdering the democracy and tarnishing the credibility and integrity of the entire election process.

The Spokesperson continued that the entire world was looking at the elections with great suspicion because of the electoral body’s visible bias and its criminal interference in the election process.

The PTI leader stated that if the Supreme Court (SC) had taken seriously the concerns and reservations of PTI pertaining to the real ambitions of the ECP including the appointment of administrative officers as ROs, the Commission would not have dared to play with the public mandate.

Furthermore, he pointed out that the current economic conditions of the country as well as of the people could not endure the shameful experience of power-sharing between the touts and Banarsi Thugs once again; therefore, the elected majority of the people should be respected.

The PTI Spokesperson demanded that the apex court should immediately intervene and thwart the nefarious plan to impose the people rejected minority group by bulldozing the true public mandate.
