ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Federal Minister for Human Rights Dr. Shireen Mazari has said that a judicial coup happened last night down to ordering how and even at what time the National Assembly Session must be held, ending the Parliamentary Supremacy.
“Sadly the issue of US attempt at regime change – the elephant in the room – which led to the Deputy Speaker ruling totally ignored. But this is not the end,” she said in a Tweet on Friday.
Dr. Shireen Mazari said that the long shadows hanging over this judicial decision think the game has been won but frankly it has just started.
The minister said that the people know who sold their souls to the US and to lure of money but in the end it will go to people’s court despite the Election Commission of Pakistan’s (ECP) inexplicable reluctance.
Last night, a five-member bench of the Supreme Court headed by the Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial set aside the ruling given by the Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri on the floor of the House on April 3 regarding the resolution for a vote of no-confidence against Prime Minister Imran Khan under Article 95 of the Constitution, declaring it to be contrary to the Constitution and the law, and of no legal effect.
The bench also ordered the restoration of the National Assembly and the Federal Cabinet.
