ISLAMABAD: A high-level meeting chaired by Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan concluded on Thursday in Islamabad, discussing new security plan to restore peace in the country and curb the terrorism.

Heads of security agencies and other concerned departments briefed the Interior Minister about their plans to overcome menace of terrorism and protect lives of the people.

Sources say heads of the civil and military agencies had been directed to make their coordination more effective in order to get rid of the terrorism, adding that the meeting has finalized priorities to improve law and order situation.

The meeting also underscored the need of coordination between center and the provinces.

The Interior Minister directed the Ministry to extend all possible assistance to the securities agencies for combating terrorism and bringing peace.
