Islamabad, Pakistan: The drunken Chief Minister of KP announced disobedience to the Constitution of Pakistan while addressing PTI’s Sanghjani Public gathering in Islamabad while other party leaders, the majority of whom are lawyers were practically dancing on his speech. This is what the nation got from PTI again.

There were apprehensions that PTI would use Sangjani Public gathering to abuse state institutions therefore live coverage of the event was avoided by the mainstream media and speeches of PTI leadership, particularly CM Gandapur proved that the decision not to show live coverage on television screens was a right decision at the right time.

The administration of twin cities blocked 29 pathways connected to the venue of public meeting after receiving intelligence reports that PTI followers would attack law enforcement agencies such as the Police and Frontier Constabulary this report also proved accurate as PTI followers attacked police that were performing duty to maintained traffic at Chungi number 26.

What is take-home from this gathering is that PTI is still not ready to learn anything from May 9, 2023, and still in an attacking mood and defying the rules and disobedience of the Constitution are casting material of PTI. Since 2014, PTI has had a long history of attacking state buildings such as the state-run PTV building, the Parliament building, monuments of martyrs, offices of intelligence agencies, the headquarters of the Pakistan Army, air bases such as Mianwali and burning historic buildings like Radio Pakistan building in Peshawar and residence of Founder of Nation—Jinnah House in Lahore. It happens that in one way or another, the law and order situation in the country is disturbed to please the anti-national forces.

On September 8, 2024, certain routes were fixed by district administration to reach the venue and it was also said that there would be no mischief in the rally, but the route issued by the PTI workers who came to the rally at Chongi No. 26 was violated. When stopped by the police, the rally participants pelted stones. PTI workers also attacked the police mobile and the police van and several policemen were injured including SSP Safe City.

Earlier this news was also reported in the media that under the command of the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, miscreants, including a large number of Afghan miscreants, were coming to the rally armed with weapons and other misdemeanor equipment. It should be remembered that the local administration already made clear that no one would be allowed to disturb the peace due to the rally. In this regard, the local administration had also completed the process of geofencing of Afghan settlements in Islamabad, while the local PTI leadership was also closely monitored.

In political scoring, the PTI’s meeting was a flop show, despite the full administrative and financial support of the provincial government of KP. The leadership failed to gather people and data of geofencing indicated that a total of twelve thousand cell phones were present in the public gathering. The interesting thing is that the meeting was supposed to be held in Punjab, but people were being brought together from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and desecration by Gandapur to use provincial resources for having a political meeting in Punjab should be n condemnable and his address to the meeting was nothing just a piece hate speech against the state and slurring against women.

Gandapur announced in his speech that he would not follow the Constitution and would defy the Constitution as well as the regulations of the state and this indicates that PTI would soon plan May 9 kind of vandalism in the country. The party is not ready to respect and obey rules of the land. Now it is the responsibility of the Parliament to respond to the speech of Gandapur and condemn him for his announcement of defiance of the Constitution.
