The former Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi’s wife Qaisra Elahi has revealed that the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain asked his husband that if he parts ways with Imran Khan, he would be released from jail the very next day.

In an exclusive interview with the Head of Investigative Cell ARY News Naeem Ashraf Butt, Qaisra Elahi told that before filing his nomination papers, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain telephoned me to ask Pervez Elahi to retire from politics as he had also relinquished politics now but I refused to convey his message.

Qaisra Elahi told that then again Shujaat phoned me to ask Pervez Elahi to leave Imran khan as it would pave the way for his release from jail and return of their son Moonis Elahi from abroad without any trouble.

Qaisra Elahi said that Pervez Elahi however refused to leave Imran Khan and PTI.

Having been the allotted the electoral symbol of Peacock, PTI-nominated Qaisra Elahi is contesting February 8 elections from NA-64 (Gujrat-lll) as an Independent Candidate.

Her husband Pervez Elahi is currently incarcerated in Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail and facing multiple charges such as embezzlement of development funds, money laundering, and illegal appointments.

Qaisra said that what is happening now, even it wasn’t witnessed in 1977. She said that even attempts were made to stop her from filing her nomination papers to contest the electinos.

She also blamed Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain’s both sons Chaudhry Salik Hussain and Shafay Hussain for being behind the maltreatment and victimization of their family.
