ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Central Information Secretary Raoof Hasan on Tuesday said that the challenge for the judiciary was not just to suspend a falsely-awarded sentence in Toshakhana Case but to ensure that PTI Chairman and former Prime Minister Imran Khan was not arrested again in any of the over 180 fake and fraudulent cases.

The PTI Central Information Secretary said that the judiciary must make amends for the judiciary having become a convenient vehicle for miscarriage of justice in the past.

Raoof Hasan said that time to rise above personal biases and fulfil the dictate of allegiance to oath, adding that it should ensure that PTI Chairman should not be re-arrested again in any of the over 180 fake and fraudulent cases registered against him in a frenzy of madness.

“We are fortunate to be witnessing the re-scripting of Pakistan’s political and legal history. After suspension of Imran Khan’s sentence in the Toshakhana case, his arrest in any other fake and fraudulent case will be ill-intentioned and mala fide,” he added.

Raoof said: “Justice must prevail – and justice shall prevail.”
