ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) leader Hafiz Hamdullah has lashed at Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Nawaz Sharif for again attempting to return to power with the crutches of the establishment.

In an interview with ARY News, Hafiz Hamdullah lambasted Nawaz Sharif for not opting the masses politics, and rather he is pursuing power politics to fulfill his own interests but his approach won’t serve the masses and democracy.

The JUI-F leader said that if Nawaz Sharif again forms his government with crutches, it will be worse than a cripple. He said that if someone uses turncoats to bolster his own government, neither it would be called politics nor maturity.

Hafiz Hamdullah said that in the past, whosoever seized the throne through power politics, he was eventually kicked out.

In addition, he was of the view that anyone who seizes power using turncoats or garnering the establishment’s support, he ends up being merely a puppet like Mohammed Khan Junejo, Shaukat Aziz, or Anwaar Ul Haq Kakar.

The JUI-F leader also voiced his deep concerns over the deteriorated security situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa ahead of February 8 general elections. He said that they are not even being allowed to hold corner meetings, and their candidates can’t reach out to their voters to seek their support in upcoming polls.

Hafiz Hamdullah also said that pamphlets are being distributed in KP with a warning that if anyone holds a corner meeting, he wouldn’t be spared.
