LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Saturday appointed Shah Mahmood Qureshi as Deputy Parliamentary leader of the party in the National Assembly.

“I am thankful to Imran Khan for appointing me as Deputy Parliamentary Leader of the PTI in the National Assembly,” Qureshi said while talking to newsmen in Lahore on Saturday.

“We should give the federal government a chance to show its performance,” he said.

To a question, Qureshi said that consultations are under way with Imran Khan regarding formation of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cabinet. He said that people with good reputation would be inducted in the provincial cabinet.

Qureshi further said while responding to another question that Fauzia Kasuri was an asset for the party.
