PoliticsAltaf orders nationwide referendum on joining Sindh govt

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain on Monday asked the party’s coordination committee to hold a nationwide three-day referendum regarding joining the Sindh government or not.

In his telephonic address to the party workers, Altaf asked the party’s parliamentarians and leaders if they wanted to be part of the provincial government or opposition.

The MQM chief claimed that not even a single terrorist was killed by security forces during the operation at the Bolan Medical Complex in Quetta, adding that the terrorists had escaped or were made to escape.

Meanwhile, Altaf questioned why LeJ, LeT and TTP were free while a state sponsored operation was underway against his party.

The MQM chief said he would file petitions with the UN and Chief Justice of Pakistan over the killing of MQM workers in Karachi.
