PoliticsMQM slams RPA hoax, demands probe

ISLAMABAD: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Monday deplored what it called a baseless hoax of Mohajir Republican Army (MRA) and termed it a shameful conspiracy.

Addressing a press conference here, Mian Atiq ur Rehman, a member of MQM’s Rabita Committee, said that deployment of army in Karachi was the only solution to restore peace in the city.

He said that there was no truth into allegations about the presence of MRA in Karachi. “It is an attempt to pressurize the MQM,” he said.

The MQM leader demanded that Prime Minister and Chief Justice order a complete probe into allegations.

Rangers and police don’t have the capacity to launch an impartial operation against criminals in Karachi, he said.
