LAHORE: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has no understanding of the national politics, the federal information minister Pervaiz Rasheed said while addressing a protest rally of journalists in Lahore on Saturday.

The information minister pointed out that the PTI leader never mentioned Kashmir in any of his speeches at any political gathering.

Rasheed further said that the government firmly believes in independence of media and freedom of expression, and does not want closure of any TV Channel. He said that democracy and freedom of media go hand in hand.

The minister assured that no TV Channel will be closed down and they will continue to function.
