ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The former Prime Minister and Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has thanked the government for placing his name on the no-fly list along 600 leaders and lawmakers of his party because he had no plans to travel abroad.

In a statement on Friday, the PTI Chairman said that he had no plans to go abroad because he neither had any properties or businesses abroad nor even a bank account outside the Country.

“I want to thank the government for putting my name on the ECL (Exit Control List) as I have no plans to travel abroad, because I neither have any properties or businesses abroad nor even a bank account outside the Country,” Imran Khan said.

“If and when I do get an opportunity for a holiday, it will be in our northern mountains, my favourite place on earth,” he added.

Earlier in another Tweet, Imran Khan strongly condemned the police raid on PTI President Parvez Elahi’s residence, saying that “these terror tactics are only increasing sympathy for PTI”.

“No end to yazeediyat launched on PTI and its supporters,” he added.

Imran Khan said that the mindset behind this tyranny was that this would weaken the party.  “A political party only weakens when it loses its vote bank, as have all the PDM parties,” he added.

The PTI Chairman vowed that these terror tactics were only increasing sympathy for PTI.
