ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has decided to indict the Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan in the Contempt of Court Case on September 22, 2022.

The verdict, reserved earlier in the day, was announced by a five-member larger bench of the Court headed by the Chief Justice Athar Minallah.

Apart from Justice Athar Minallah, the bench also included Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani, Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri, Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb, and Justice Babar Sattar.

Earlier on Wednesday, a reply had been submitted in the Islamabad High Court from the former Prime Minister Imran Khan in which he deeply regretted his remarks against the Additional Sessions Judge Zeba Chaudhry; however, today the IHC termed his reply “unsatisfactory” and decided to indict him on September 22.

The Court had initiated the Contempt of Court proceedings against Imran Khan for threatening Judge Zeba Chaudhry during a public rally.
