Govt wants peace without bloodshed: Rashid

RAWALPINDI: The federal minister for information Pervez Rashid said on Wednesday that the federal government aims to reach the destination of peace without bloodshed. He mentioned that India that Pakistan considered its enemy did not harm its 90,000 prisoners of War (PoWs) in 1971 and Taliban killed Prisoners. He said no religion and Shariah of Islam allowed to killed prisoners. He regretted the assassination of 23 Frontier Corps personnel in captivity terming it violations of Islamic teachings and Geneva Convention.

Talking to media persons in Rawalpindi on Wednesday, the information minister said that if Taliban have any complaint‚ they should place it before the negotiating committees.

Rasheed said that armed forces are fully capable to meet any challenge.

Moreover, he regretted the assassination of 23 Frontier Corps personnel in captivity terming it violations of Islamic teachings and Geneva Convention.
