ECP recommends new dates for LB polls in Punjab, Sindh

ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Wednesday informed the Supreme Court of Pakistan that it can hold the local bodies elections in Punjab on March 13, while in Sindh on February 23.

During the proceedings of the delimitations case in the apex court on Wednesday, the ECP stated that the local bodies elections in Punjab and Sindh should be delayed as time was required for the printing of ballot papers.

The ECP recommended that local bodies polls in Punjab should be held on March 13 and in Sindh on February 23.
