Coronavirus Cases in Pakistan reach 108,317; 2,172 patients have died

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: With 4,646 new Coronavirus Cases in the last 24 hours, the number of COVID-19 infected patients across Pakistan has reached 108,317, as per the data of the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) updated on June 9 morning.

In the last 24 hours, 105 more deaths were witnessed which took the number of fatalities caused by Coronavirus to 2,172 whereas with 663 new recoveries, now a total of 35,018 patients have been cured.

The data says that 24,620 COVID-19 tests were conducted across Pakistan on June 8 mostly in Punjab – 9,023 followed by Sindh wherein 8,513 tests were conducted. To date, 730,453 tests have been carried out throughout the Country to diagnose the virus.

The most number of Coronavirus Cases has so far emerged in Punjab wherein 40,819 people have been tested positive. In Punjab, 773 people have so far died of the virus while 8,293 have recovered.Coronavirus Cases in Pakistan - With 3,773 new Coronavirus Cases in the last 24 hours, the number of COVID-19infected patients across Pakistan has reached 103,671, as per the data of the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) updated on June 8 morning. In the last 24 hours, 65 more deaths were witnessed which took the number of fatalities caused by Coronavirus to 2,067 whereas with 890 new recoveries, now a total of 34,355 patients have been cured. The data says that 22,650 COVID-19 tests were conducted across Pakistan on June 7 mostly in Sindh - 8,119 followed by Punjab wherein 7,694 tests were conducted. To date, 705,833 tests have been carried out throughout the Country to diagnose the virus. The most number of Coronavirus Cases has so far emerged in Punjab wherein 38,903 people have been tested positive. In Punjab, 715 people have so far died of the virus while 8,109 have recovered. In Sindh, 38,108 people have been infected by the COVID-19 and 650 of them have lost their lives. However, the province has witnessed 18,776 recoveries, the highest among all provinces and regions. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province has recorded 13,487 Coronavirus Cases, 575 deaths, and 3,542 recoveries; and Balochistan has recorded 6,516 Cases, 54 deaths, and 2,313 recoveries. In the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT), 5,329 people have been tested positive, 52 have succumbed to the disease, and 843 have been recovered. Whereas 932 people have contracted Coronavirus in Gilgit-Baltistan, 13 have died, and 577 have been recovered. Likewise, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) has so far recorded 396 Cases, 8 deaths, and 195 recoveries. By now, 5,253 patients are admitted in 775 hospitals having COVID-19 facilities across the country. Currently, 67,249 COVID-19 patients are under treatment and 1,382 of them are in critical condition.In Sindh, 39,555 people have been infected by the COVID-19 and 679 of them have lost their lives. However, the province has witnessed 19,137 recoveries, the highest among all provinces and regions.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province has recorded 14,006 Coronavirus Cases, 587 deaths, and 3,579 recoveries; and Balochistan has recorded 6,788 Cases, 58 deaths, and 2,360 recoveries.

In the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT), 5,785 people have been tested positive, 52 have succumbed to the disease, and 843 have been recovered.

Whereas 952 people have contracted Coronavirus in Gilgit-Baltistan, 14 have died, and 597 have been recovered.

Likewise, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) has so far recorded 412 Cases, 9 deaths, and 209 recoveries.

By now, 5,255 patients are admitted in 775 hospitals having COVID-19 facilities across the country.

Currently, 71,127 COVID-19 patients are under treatment and 322 of them are on ventilators.
