QUETTA: Doctors in government hospitals across Balochistan went on a strike on Thursday against the abduction of prominent heart specialist Dr Abdul Manaf Tareen.

Dr Tareen was abducted by unknown gunmen as he was en route back to his residence from his private hospital at Pishin Stop in Quetta on Tuesday night. The abductors took him along with his vehicle to an unknown place.

   

The Medic associated with Young Doctors Association (Balochistan Chapter) boycotted on Thursday and refused to performed their duties in Quetta civil hospital, Bolan Medical Complex hospital, Fatima Jinnah hospital and other hospitals across the restive province, leafing patients in suffering.

However, emergency services were available in the hospitals.
