Lahore, Pakistan: The new book “Canada: A Land of Colors” of famous author, educationists, columnist Dr. Akhtar Hussain Sandhu was launched in Lahore Press Club on Thursday.
Dr. Akhtar Hussain Sandhu’s book “Canada: A Land of Colors” is his latest travelogue that covers cultural, political and social perspectives of somehow or other Pakistan-Canadian bilateral relations.
The event was presided over by renowned journalist and intellectual Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Shami while the special guest was Sardar Jasbir Singh Bopara who came from Canada for this book launching ceremony. Other guests included Vice Chancellor Nadeem Ahmed Bhatti, former Vice Chancellor Dr. Faleha Zahra Kazmi and Shahbaz Khan. Commenting on the book, Professor Kashif Faraz, Professor Nasir Bashir, Advocate M. Nawaz Sheikh, Nadeem Nazar, Dr. Asghar Yazdani, Osama Akhtar Advocate and Acting President Lahore Press Club Afzaal expressed their views while discussing the book and personality of Dr. Akhtar Hussain Sindhu. Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Shami expressed his views and congratulated Dr. Akhtar Hussain Sindhu on the publication of the book and said that Dr. Akhtar Hussain Sindhu’s book is actually a means of strengthening Muslim-Sikh relations and further strengthening cultural ties between the two Punjabs. Sardar Jasbir Singh thanked Lahore Press Club President Muhammad Arshad Ansari and Ali Changezi Sindhu Advocate and paid tribute to the Pakistani government, the Auqaf Department and the Punjab government for the excellent arrangements for Sikh pilgrims and termed Dr. Akhtar Hussain Sindhu’s book as an important milestone in Sikh-Muslim relations.
