Imran calls on govt identify those behind anti-state conspiracies

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Monday called on the federal government to identify those behind anti-state conspiracies, adding that enemies of Pakistan were sheltering those behind attacks such as the one carried out in Islamabad today.

His statement came after at least 11 persons including additional session judge Rafaqat Awan were killed and more than 20 others injured in an attack on district courts in Islamabad.

In a statement in Islamabad, the PTI chairman said that some elements including the United States were against peace in the country.

Imran said that an operation in Waziristan region was not in favour of Pakistan, adding that action should be taken only against those militants who did not want to carry out peace talks.
