ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday held a meeting with President Asif Ali Zardari and took him into confidence over federal government’s decisions taken to restore peace in violence-torn Karachi.

According to sources, the meeting between the two bigwigs held at Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad, adding that the PM would also host a farewell luncheon for the outgoing present who is also central leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).

The sources said the PM took the president into confidence on the decisions taken for peace and restoration of law and order situation in Karachi.

The two also held discussion on the appointment of new Chairman National Accountability Bureau, according to sources.

Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and other ministers accompanied the PM on the occasion.
