LAHORE: Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar took oath as Governor of Punjab in Lahore on Monday.

Chief Justice Lahore High Court Justice Umar Ata Bandial administered the oath to him at a simple ceremony held in Governor House Lahore.

Punjab Chief Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif‚ provincial ministers and other notables attended the ceremony.

Later talking to newsmen‚ Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar said that he will take all political parties along to resolve the problems of the province. He said it will be his endeavour to promote soft image of the country abroad.

The governor said there is a need for education emergency to provide standard education to all the people. He assured that he will utilize his experience for the betterment of the province.
