PoliticsRana Sanaullah demands Pervez Khattak to resign over DI Khan jailbreak

LAHORE: Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah on Wednesday demanded of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Inaf’s Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to step down in the wake of Monday night’s militant attack on Dera Ismail Khan Jail which led to the escape of nearly 250 prisoners.

Speaking to reporters in Lahore, he said CM KPK Pervez Khattak should tell the people who are responsible for the attack and how will the provincial government compensate the damages.

Responding to a question, Sanaullah said Pakistan’s peace was linked with peace in Karachi, and all political parties should disband their armed wings in the light of Supreme Court orders.

Sanaullah said Muttahida Qaumi Movement has not struck any deal with Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz in return of their ‘conditional’ support in presidential elections. However, he said that change of governor in Sindh would surely take place.
