Islamabad, Pakistan: Two Republican Congressmen Joe Wilson and August Pfluger have called for US intervention to “restore” democracy in Pakistan and for them, the release of former prime minister Imran Khan from jail is the restoration of democracy in Pakistan. Khan has been convicted of several corruption cases.
Their letter had their stance that since Imran Khan had close ties with the US administration, therefore the United States should play its role to take him out of jail.
The politicians of the ruling party consider this letter, that is a part of several letters written by US lawmakers for the release of Imran Khan; as ‘an intervention in domestic affairs of Pakistan’. However, the government has never taken these letters ‘objectionable’ at official level and Pakistan’s Foreign Office has not responded to such letters either. Official media has never condemned these series of letters against Pakistan. Since these letters are glaring examples of foreign intervention in Pakistan’s affairs, the Foreign Office should respond to them without further delay.
Political circles sometimes call these letters a part of “Operation Goldsmith” but official media always avoid talking about “Operation Goldsmith”. One can only know through private media that there is some “Operation Goldsmith” against Pakistan.
In private discussion, ruling politicians claim that Joe Wilson and August Pulger’s interference in Pakistan’s internal affairs and previous letters written by US and UK lawmakers are funded by the Zionist lobby through the Goldsmith family as two sons of Khan belong to this powerful Zionist family.
Whether the government stands behind this narrative of “Operation Goldsmith” or not, there are reasons to believe that all narratives created by the PTI has sure backing of western media and lawmakers who show no concerns over genocide of Palestinian in Gaza but they are very concern about Imran Khan and his court verdicts against him.
Interestingly, the letter of Wilson and August Pfluger indicates that Imran Khan had close ties with the US administration, therefore the United States should play its role to take him out of jail, and these comments of them are in contradiction with the narrative that Imran Khan built in Pakistan. He has been claiming that his government was removed by the US administration. Imran Khan gave the narratives of “we are not slaves” and “absolutely not” to fool his workers, but now, from all his actions, it seems that he is the real slave and external tool of the US deep state. Joe Wilson is known as an activist of the Israeli Public Advocacy Group and his interference in Pakistani affairs can be linked with the Zionist Goldsmith family. Everyone knows where the American Israel Public Affairs Committee gets its funds from and what its work is?
The sole purpose of Wilson and August Pfluger is to target the state of Pakistan, its institutions, and important figures. This is not the first time that an American Congressman has attempted to interfere in Pakistan. Congressmen have written letters to Joe Biden before, but they have not even received a response.
This letter is written to the Trump administration, but here too the PTI’s “trump card” did not work. Such actions are open interference in the internal affairs of any country. It is also worth noting that Congressmen like Joe Wilson do not have a major position in American politics, nor can their proposals have any clear impact on American foreign policy. PTI and its supporters are exaggerating the statements of irrelevant Congress members like him to give the impression that the US is supporting their narrative, when in reality it is the opposite. The general stance of the US government is to maintain diplomatic relations with Pakistan and not directly interfere in any internal matter. Most importantly, the recent $5 billion aid to Pakistan by the Trump administration is clear evidence that the US is keen to improve its diplomatic relations with Pakistan rather than damaging it.
