ISLAMABAD: Former law minister Wasi Zafar was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly creating ruckus in the Islamabad High Court (IHC).

The former law minister appeared before the court in a family dispute case but during hearing he got emotional and violated the decorum of the court.

Upon which, the IHC bench headed by Justice Shaukat Siddiqui ordered his arrest, which was followed by the police.

Wasi Zafar was law minister in the cabinet of former president General (retd) Pervez Musharraf. He was elected from NA 176 on PML (Q) ticket in the 2002 elections.
