ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Central Information Secretary Raoof Hassan said that PTI nominated Raja Azam as the consensus candidate for the slot of the Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan (GB).PTI nominates Raja Azam as consensus candidate for CM Gilgit-Baltistan slot

In a statement on Wednesday, the PTI CIS said that elections should be held without any delay to choose the next leader of the house so as the opposition could not play their dirty game of buying and selling.

“PTI enjoys numerical majority in the GB Assembly. Raja Azam has been nominated as the consensus candidate for CM slot,” he added.

Raoof Hassan said that elections should be held without any delay to choose the next leader of the house. He went on to say that opposition was trying to delay the convening of session to play their dirty game of buying and selling, which was disgusting and deplorable.

Khalid Khurshid to continue to remain as GB President

Earlier, PTI Secretary General Omar Ayub Khan issued a notification that Muhammad Khalid Khurshid Khan would continue to remain as the President PTI Gilgit-Baltistan despite his disqualification as Chief Minister GB.

Omar Ayub Khan issued notification with the approval of Chairman PTI Imran Khan.

It was said that Muhammad Khalid Khurshid Khan’s disqualification would be challenged at the competent judicial forum.
