PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Monday stressed the need for a national policy to eliminate terrorism in the country.

Addressing a news conference in Peshawar on Monday afternoon‚ Khan again reiterated his party’s demand to part ways with the US-led war on terrorism and called for the formation of a national counter-terrorism policy.

The PTI chairman said development funds will not be given to MPAs in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) instead they will bring a local bodies system in the province.

Khan said development funds will be spent through District Development Authority.

Khan said they will bring a Conflict of Interest law in KPK under which no one while in the government can benefit to his business. He said there will be no interference for posting and transfers from their party MNAs and MPAs.

The PTI chairman announced that support ground will be constructed at district level in KPK where facilities to play cricket‚ hockey‚ squash and volleyball will be provided. He said he will himself establish a system of cricket in the province and revival of cricket will begin from there.

Meanwhile, he thanked the people of KPK for giving mandate to his Justice Party. He said we will never disappoint the people of the province.

Khan said we will set up an independent accountability cell, which will have authority to nab a minister on corruption charges.
