ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Advisor to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister for Elementary and Secondary Education Ziaullah Bangash has said that provision of quality education and missing facilities in education institutions across the province is our government’s top most priority.

In a meeting with the Chief Organizer Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Saifullah Khan Nyazee at the PTI Central Secretariat in Islamabad, Ziaullah Bangash gave a detailed briefing about the measures taken by the provincial government to ensure provision of quality education across the province.

The advisor said that in the light of Prime Minister Imran Khan’s special instructions, the provincial government is striving to provide basic education facilities in the merged districts of tribal areas formerly known as FATA.

Ziaullah Bangash said that 350 out of 700 damaged schools are being restored whereas 21 secondary and higher secondary schools are being upgraded.

In addition, he added that to address the issue of scarcity of teaching staff, 2400 educated individuals are being employed in the first phase and a group of 4000 will be taken on board in the next phase.

The advisor went on stating that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government aims to bring 2.6 million out of school children back into academic folds before the completion of government’s five years term however 0.8 million are being admitted in this year. He said that in first eight months of our government, we have inducted 17000 educated youth as teachers through a fair and transparent recruitment system.

Saifullah Khan Nyazee appreciated Ziaullah Bangash for the detailed briefing and stated that quality education is one of the fundamental constitutional rights of the citizens.

“Only an educated nation can deal with the menaces like extremism, poverty, and ignorance”, he said.

The Chief Organizer PTI termed a standardized and uniform education system essential for the bright future of the upcoming generations.
