KARACHI: The PPP‚ ANP and MQM on Tuesday vowed to continue their struggle against terrorism and actively participate in the May 11 polls, while Awami National Party (ANP) Sindh leader Shahi Syed said that upcoming election is a contest between pro-Taliban and anti-Taliban parties.

Addressing a joint press conference along with leaders of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) and Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) in Karachi, the ANP leader asked Ulema to issue decrees against the terrorists.

The ANP leader said the criminal elements want parties sympathetic to terrorists in the National Assembly. He said this will help them implement their nefarious designs for Pakistan easily.

Speaking on the occasion‚ MQM deputy convener Farooq Sattar said that three parties have kept their differences aside for a greater purpose.

Sattar further criticised the interim authorities and the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) for not doing anything to stop the ongoing terror spree.

While the PPP leader Rehman Malik said that the terrorists want out to keep the three parties of elections. He said that war against terror would continue till elimination of terrorism.
