FAISALABAD, Pakistan: Leader of Opposition in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Ahmad Shah Monday said the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) believed in supremacy of the parliament and all national issues should be settled through consultation.

Talking to the media in Faisalabad, he said the PPP had rendered unprecedented sacrifices for democracy and it would continue working to strengthen democratic institutions in the country.

Khursheed Shah visited the mausoleum of Maulana Sardar Ahmad Qadri at Sunni Rizvi Masjid Jhang Bazaar and offered Fateha for his departed soul.

PPP Central Punjab President Qamaruz Zaman Kaira, former federal minister Rana Farooq Saeed Khan and other PPP local leaders were also present on the occasion.
