PESHAWAR, Pakistan: Political leaders of different political parties from the Federally Administrated Tribal Areas (FATA) on Thursday announced formation of FATA Political Alliance (FATA Siasi Itihad) and demanded abolishing Frontier Crime Regulations (FCR) and merger of the tribal region into Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

This was announced by Akhunzada Chatan of PPP during a press conference here at Peshawar Press Club.

He said that tribal political leaders of all agencies have decided to constitute FATA Political Alliance for the welfare of tribal people adding tribal people have rendered great sacrifices for the betterment of county and restoration of peace.

He said that most of FATA people want to live normal life in settle areas adding that the alliance has been constituted after consultation among eight major political parties of the country to protect rights of poor FATA masses.

Speaking on the occasion newly elected President Haji Iqbal Afridi of PTI said FATA people want to lead a peaceful live.
