ISLAMABAD, Nov 28 (APP): The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has decided to hold by-elections in NA-218 (Matiari-cum-Haiderabad) on January 18, 2016 and issued schedule.

According to spokesman of ECP, the nomination papers will be filed on December 10 and 11 whereas the verification process will be completed on December 17.

The candidates can file their appeals to the tribunals against the decisions of the returning officers till December 21 and tribunals would decide on their appeals till December 23, he said.

The candidates can withdraw their nomination papers until December 28 and on the next day the final list of candidates will be published, he added.

It may be mentioned here that the seat was vacated due to the death of Makhdoom Amin Faheem President of Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarians.
