Health2nd Annual Renal Pathology Conference held at Fatima Memorial Hospital

LAHORE, Pakistan: The Pathology Department of Fatima Memorial Hospital & FMH College of Medicine & Dentistry held its second annual Renal Pathology Workshop & Symposium at the hospital after the resounding success of the inaugural conference last year.

The two-day conference was attended by over 100 specialists of the field consisting of Nephrologists, Transplant Surgeons and Pathologists from across Pakistan.

The keynote speakers of the conference were Dr Muhammed Akhtar, Senior Consultant – King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre, Riyadh Saudia Arabia & Visiting Professor – FMH College of Medicine and Dentistry. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mubarak, Professor of Pathology – Javed I Kazi Department of Histopathology, Institute of Urology & Transplantation (SIUT), Prof. Dr. Raja Rasib, Dr. Romena Qazi, Dr. Humaira Nasir and Dr. Imrana Tanvir.

The conference was inaugurated by Prof. Humayun Maqsood – Principal FMH College of Medicine & Dentistry followed by a welcome address by Prof. Sabiha Riaz – Head of the Pathology Department at FMHCM&D.

The conference highlighted minimal change diseases, Nephropathy, Renal Transplant and Renal Rejection.
