The Iranian Supreme National Security Council Secretary Ali Shamkhani will visit the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on March 16, 2023, a reflective of growing ties between the two Countries.

Ali Shamkhani’s visit to UAE follows the announcement by the Saudi Arabia and Iran agreeing to restore their bilateral diplomatic relations.

During his visit, Shamkhani will discuss a range of issues related to bilateral, regional, and international affairs in talks with his UAE Counterpart Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Meanwhile, highlighting the potential of Saudi investments in Iran, the Saudi Finance Minister Mohammed Al-Jadaan at a Forum in Riyadh revealed that the Kingdom could initiate its investments in the Islamic Republic very soon.

“There are a lot of opportunities for Saudi investments in Iran. We don’t see impediments as long as the terms of any agreement would be respected,” al-Jadaan was quoted as saying by the foreign media.

Earlier, in an interview with Al Sharq Al Awsat newspaper, the Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan also said that they were preparing to resume diplomatic relations within the next two months.

However, he urged the Iran to remain committed to its nuclear obligations besides, increasing its cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
