KARACHI: A Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) commander and Assistant Director of the Karachi Development Authority (KDA) among three persons were shot dead in different areas of the city on Friday, police said.

Police said that unknown gunmen opened fire on the AD KDA Jabbar Mangi in Korangi area of the city, and fled leaving him dead on the spot. Meanwhile, his driver was injured in the firing incident.

Earlier, one person was killed while four others injured in a firing incident that occurred in the Gulshan-e-Buner area of Landhi. The victim was identified as the banned TTP commander.

Later on, police and Rangers conducted raid in Gulshan-e-Buner and recovered body of slain the TTP commander and arrested four others.

Moreover, a man was killed in a firing incident near Baghdadi police station in Lyari.
