KARACHI, Pakistan: Managing Director (MD), Pakistan Bait-Ul-Mal (PBM), Barrister Abid Waheed Sheikh on Wednesday said that PBM was planning to expand its different programmes to provide happier and comfortable life to shelter less, deprived and abandoned senior citizens of the country.

Talking to official media after the inauguration and visit to Great Home in DHA Phase-6, he said that “Great Home” was basically meant “Old Age Home” for destitute people where they could spend their life with respect, dignity and protection.

He said, “Expansion of Thalassaemia Centres, Pakistan Sweet Homes and Pakistan Great Homes is being planned.”

He further said that PBM was trying to improve the living standard of destitute people and providing home-like facilities there.

The number of registered shelter less people was much more and it was the third home for them.

He, earlier, went round rooms of the Great Home and checked facilities there. On the occasion, he also mingled with senior citizens and inquired about their health and facilities being provided them.
