Man, woman shot dead in Balochistan for honour

QUETTA, Pakistan: A man and a woman were shot dead by a relative in a honour killing incident in Dera Allahyar area of Balochistan’s Jaffarabad district, police said.

Police said that the incident occurred in village Arz Muhammad area of Dera Allahyar town where a person Dil Murad opened fire on his sister-in-law and another man identified as Muhammad Altaf.

“Both died on the spot after receiving multiple bullet injuries,” police said.

The accused escaped from the scene after committing the crime.

The bodies were shifted to the district hospital and later handed over to their heirs after the completion of formalities.
