ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Federal Government Employees Housing Foundation (FGEHF) has written letters to the constitutional bodies and institutions for verification of their employees for allotment of plot at Bhara Kahu in Islamabad.

The allotment of plots will be made to the successful  applicants and members of Membership  Drive (Phase-I), after  the  receipt  of  approved lay-out  plan  of  the  Sector  (Bara Kahu), the official sources in FGEHF said.

In this regard, the sources said efforts are being made to complete the process of allotment at earliest as the conflict between government and private contractor has been resolved.

It was told that replies of five institutions have been received which included National Assembly, Senate Secretariat, Election Commission, Wafaqi Mohtasib and Federal Shariat Court.

It is to mention that Bhara Kahu Housing Scheme was launched in 2009 and more than 37,900 members were registered by the FGEHF.

About the dispute between the government and private contractor about Bhara Kahu housing scheme, the sources said that both have reached on an agreement during the meeting on December 16, 2015.

The executive committee and board of directors of FGEHF and M/S Green Tree Private Limited have agreed to resolve all issues amicably, the sources maintained.

The board has given two months to the firm for completing the remaining formalities about land development and acquisition. It has been also approved by the board to invite private sector partners and increase its land bank through joint ventures to accommodate increasing number of registered members.

The source said that payment dispute between FGEHF and the contractor has already been settled with the intervention of NAB and it has been decided that FGEHF will pay all the outstanding payments through NAB.

The contractor will provide new layout plan and maps of the colony, besides providing alternate plots against those which are not levelled or are difficult to construct.
