FAISALABAD, Pakistan: Home Department Punjab has extended the ban on display of arms including licensed ones, and carrying these in any public place till November 4.

In an announcement received here, the Home department stated that whosoever will be found displaying arms will be booked by the respective police station without any delay and sent behind the bars.

The home department also banned holding any “victory procession” by the candidates in all the 12 districts of the Punjab including Lahore, Kasur, Nankana Sahib, Chakwal, Pakpattan, Okara, Bahawalnagar, Lodhran, Vehari, Gujrat, Bhakkar and Faisalabad.

A spokesman of the Home department said the ban has been imposed under section 144 of CrPC and the public has been appealed that if they find any person for displaying or exhibiting arms they should immediately intimate police at 15.
