PESHAWAR, Pakistan: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Senior Minister for LG&RD InayatUllah Khan Friday said Rs 1.70 billion mega project of Bab-e-Peshawar flyover at Phase-III Hayatabad in provincial metropolis would be completed by December 25 and to be inaugurated by January 1.

During his visit to the site of the project here, he said Chief Minister Pervez Khattak would formally inaugurate the project that would ensure smooth and uninterrupted flow of millions of vehicles daily passing from this area besides removing traffic jam hazards.

He claimed the two-level modern flyover is among unique mega projects of the country adding millions of the population including students, patients and teachers would be facilitated on completion of the project.

To a question, he said that delayed handing over of the approved map to NLC, lethargic cooperation of some departments including Railways, Sui-gas and WAPDA and bad weather conditions though caused some delay but it was negligible keeping the bulk of work on this mega project.

He said it was a mega scheme that was being completed in a record period with accelerated speed for the first time in history of the province.

InayatUllah later visited camp office of NLC and its construction plants and inspected pace and quality of construction work and appreciated zeal of work of NLC.

Director General Peshawar Development Authority Saleem Wattoo, Project Director NLC and other concerned high ups also accompanied the minister.
