FAISALABAD, Pakistan: The second section of M-4 Motorway from Gojra to Shorkot will be completed with the financial assistance of Asian Development Bank (ADB), Department for International Development (DFID) UK while the government of Pakistan will also invest its share of $46 million.
The official sources said that the ADB will provide a loan of $178 million whereas DFID will grant $91 million for the completion of second section of M-4 Motorway,
As many as 97 underpasses, 311 water channels and 8 bridges will be constructed for second section of M-4 Motorway from Gojra to Shorkot.
The second section of M-4 has a total length of 62 kilometers from Gojra to Shorkot including 61 kilometers length from Gojra to Toba Tek Singh and 61 kilometeres from Toba to Shorkot.
The first part of 2nd section of M-4 Motorway (from Gojra to Toba) will be completed with an estimated cost of Rs10.61 billion whereas second part of this section, from Toba to Shorkot, will be constructed with Rs11 billion.
